Doug Dawson

Readin through Michael Chesley Johnson's blog as I am apt to do, I saw he was talking a Doug Dawson workshop. Of course that made me think "Man I can't believe I haven't mention Doug Dawson on my blog". So I first came across his work in a book called Dramatize Your Paintings With Tonal Value. Dumb name and dumber cover but pretty good book actually. I remember being stopped in my tracks when I came across his rain drenched street scenes. This really is the beauty of the city at night. So nice to be reminded of his work again. Doug's homepage ain't nothing to sing about about but his work really is. Some gallery action here and here.
